Data & recruitment

The job market is constantly changing, and also is recruitment. In this changing job market, it is therefore important to map current work processes. Does the current way of working still suit the organization or can the working method be faster and more efficient? Data driven recruitment offers opportunities to improve the recruitment process.

A data-driven economy

Every recruitment organization registers and stores a large amount of data. You collect this data in your own ATS or on other platforms. But what happens with this data? And how much time would you save by not having to connect all data sources yourself? And more importantly: how can you make this data transparent so that it also becomes valuable for your organization? A dashboard creates a coherent whole of all parts that play a role in achieving a common goal.

Collected data eventually becomes really usable with a recruitment dashboard. A dashboard displays the most important recruitment KPIs in a visual and accessible manner. A good dashboard responds to the needs of the organization. Exactly how the dashboard will look depends on the goals of the recruitment department. It is therefore important to have these goals clear, because without these goals the dashboard is not usable.

Smart recruiting

With the help of dashboarding you can make your collected data measurable and set up the recruitment process “smarter”. It will help you bring different data together.

Depending on which goals you have set, dashboarding can help you achieve these goals. Determining these goals is also a first step in successfully setting up a dashboard. What information can be interesting to measure?
Time to hire: you want to measure how long it takes for a candidate to be found. It shows how much time there is between approaching a candidate and the moment he or she accepts the job. Employers usually try to keep these times as short as possible
Finance- cost per hire: how many costs were made to find and hire the candidate and what does he/she yield?
Source measurement – Source of hire: A vacancy is not only shared on your own website, but also on other platforms such as social media and job boards. Through which channel did a candidate enter? And on which platform is a vacancy most shared?

How do you use it?

Now that you have determined exactly what you want to see in your dashboard, you can get started.

  • Collecting, managing and analyzing relevant data from recruitment channels. Then bring this data together in a report. A lot of information is often in the minds of recruiters and in their folders. Ideally, you want this in a central location where all data can be collected.
  • Interpreting the data and translating it into a recruitment strategy. What works for which target group, with which message through which means and channels.
  • Start small and start testing. Come up with a number of small actions and test them to learn and optimize them further. You can lay a good foundation for improvement.

What do you get out of it?

If you can ensure that data is used correctly, it will provide you with many (new) insights. For example insight into the job market and insight into the motives of your target group. And because you now have all your data organized in a dashboard, you can prioritize better and ultimately work more productively.
Visualizing data also provides clarity. It makes complex data usable and accessible to a wider audience. Good advice or strategy requires good data.

Carerix Analytics

How do you ensure that work processes are optimized through the use of data? Only Carerix data is insufficient to say anything about your business operations. Carerix & Active Professionals offer a solution for this and introduce Carerix Analytics with Qlik Dashboarding. Qlik Dashboarding is a tool that gives you a clear overview of all data. By merging data from different systems, you create an interactive dashboard in which business performance becomes transparent. Not only Carerix data about your recruitment process is important, but also the back office, marketing automation and Google Analytics are important sources for collecting data. We call this multisource dashboarding. But to achieve this you need a Business Intelligence platform. Qlik is the platform that takes this off your hands. With our product Carerix data source you can use fresh data in your own dashboarding. Even if you already use another dashboarding tool such as Power BI, you can have your Carerix data provided by us. We have solved this in the product Carerix Datasource. With Carerix Datasource you can use fresh data in your own dashboarding.

Data and recruitment

Data in itself does not say very much, but if you attach targets to it, you can use data to organize your work processes in a smarter way. Data and recruitment are the future. But will this “new” way of working also replace the recruiter? You can easily leave a number of aspects within the recruitment to the technology. For example, automating standard communication with the help of chatbots, etc. But whether this will make the recruiter completely unnecessary in the future is another question. What is certain is that the recruiter of the future will be increasingly data-driven.
